HCA Hospice ❤ Holiday edition (part 1)

Finally went back to HCA Hospice today. I had such a wonderful time meeting new volunteers and seeing familiar faces. A special shout-out to you, Siti! We're meant to be friends. ❤ (◕‿◕✿)

Stepping into HCA Hospice again made me feel so nostalgic (again with the nostalgia. I know, I know). The other nurses were all pleasantly surprised when I showed up. I hugged so many nurses today :")

Of course, I did what any other muslim volunteer did, and salaam-ed the Muslim patients. Cik Bashaa is still healthy and beautiful, masha Allah.

And then, there was this Pak cik, his first day here, who recognised me as a volunteer. At an instant, I sat down with him and had such a deep and meaningful conversation with him. It was so lovely that he introduced me to the rest of the patients he just met.

*translated to English*

Pakcik: Its my first day here, and I'm so blessed to meet people like you. When I was younger, I didn't have opportunities like you (i.e. the younger generation). I could go at anytime. I'm so happy to be here you know, how else could I have met you? Already I know that I'm blessed, because I'm talking to you right now. Who knows what could happen in an hour? Our fate is not up to us. Its up to Allah SWT. It brings me such joy to see young people like you volunteer here, you know.

Well, it was definitely a blessing to have had this conversation.
Stay tuned for part 2 (I know you're reading this, Siti. Heheh)

Stay inspired,
Nurul xx
